Strategic Decision Making Underwater Hotel Essay
Strategic Decision Making Underwater Hotel - Essay ExampleHowever, some other elements, particularly the individual actions that supported the goals and objectives of the representative, are deficient. Components like cost structure or key activities are also ill-placed, especially when the framework should provide a logical and structured framework where the hotels characteristics and potential can be clearly converted into economic outputs. (Chesbrough, 2011 94) This must have been what Neely (2007 200) had in mind when explaining how a model improperly grounded in the performing unit as a phenomenon will most likely overlook the variables that influence how the system functions. Because of these cited weaknesses, the bank line model will fail in the areas of theoretical and operational coherence. To address this, an improved framework should be adopted. An appropriate framework is outlined below. Fig. 1 Suggested Framework (Osterwalder, 2009 44) The model shown above has been perfected by Osterwalder and could actually be modified into several other versions to accommodate the differences in both components and objectives. What the model offers is not only an powerful framework description, but also the capacity to be flexible and envision alternatives. Hence, this particular model can optimize processes for underwater hotel ventures and its objectives, especially in the vast term. II. Integration of the Business molding In terms of integration, the ancestry model is quite efficient. The framework outlines clear practices and activities as well as future objectives and visions. This strengthens the business model, especially considering the fact that the venture is entering into the market for the first time. However, as has been previously cited, the modelin effectively integrating componentsmust provide nodes to identify their relationships and connections. Jaakola, Kiyoki and Tokuda (2008 154) identified this as the node structure, an element in business models that explain processes such as rank creation and business transactions. III. Feasibility of the Business Model Elements unique to a business model add to the complexity of how framework should be examined in the context of its feasibility. The most important criteria, however, is economic viability. This should made a crucial precondition, because without it there is no reason for existence, as the project being undertaken cannot be supported by the market. The project, as defined by the business model, should be profitable. What this means is that rewards must either equal or surpass the expectations of diversified investors on a risk-adjusted basis from investments made and resources consumed (Johnson, 2007 42). Currently, the business model lacks value-added development and thus misses out on the profits available. Another important aspect in a business model is the way it creates value or shared value among business partners. According to Vermeulen and Cotula ( 2010 35), there are four criteria that should be used to determine how a business model shares value 1. Ownership of business equity shares 2. Ability to take part in decisionmaking process 3. Commercial risk and other types of risk such as governmental and reputational risks 4. Sharing of economic costs and benefits and other financial arrangements All of these variables are related to each other. One may be linked or is responsible for the existence of another. Nonetheless, these elements collectively bring about value and, hence, must be present in a business

Capital punishment Research Paper Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 2000 words
Capital punishment - Research Paper ExampleAt reconcile upper-case letter punishment is abolished in maximum countries but there are some countries like USA, India and China where it is still practiced though in the exaltedst of the rare cases. The idea behind capital punishment crops from the medieval concept which means to repay back in blood for the blood taken. Their thinking behind esteeming capital punishment is that it annuld state expenses by putting the individual to death immediately, sending a strong message to the society against the crime and thus allows a retribution of the crime. The argument can thus be stated thatAs capital punishment or death penalty is a debatable issue, there are many scholarly reviews that focused on both the aspects of this situation. The paper would focus on those scholarly resources where death penalty has been favored over its abolishment. In the article Should we reintroduce the death penalty? capital punishment has been shown to be fa vored by the people of Australia. In the article it was seen that people of Australia reacted in favor of capital punishment over a particularly brutal murder of a nurse named Anita Cobby in 1986 (Should we reintroduce the death penalty?, 1990, p.6). The article was dual-lane into two groups of persons. The group against it said that it was the most barbaric and medieval form of torture inflicted on the person. It could increase violence. The group favoring it said that death penalty helped to reduce the threat to the social order as in the absence of such an extreme measure, solidarity of the society could be hampered. They also argued that imprisonment cannot guarantee that upon release the person would not commit the same crime again. They also stated that keeping a criminal in prison would simple add up to the appeal of the state economy (Should we reintroduce the death penalty?, 1990, p.6). So it would be judicious

Personal Reflection Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1000 words
Personal Reflection - Essay ExampleI thought composing by explanation or simply retelling a certain story where the main idea comes from another author or perhaps another persons idea would be a flock safer and easier as you would only have to expound on what an authors line or idea meant and adding up a secondary commentary on yours which would not re bothy welcome new thoughts that might not be accepted by your depicters. In a focussing, writing this way would give you less invite to think and just more of taking it from some matchless elses point of view. However, through the whole course, I realized that writing made up of mostly explanations is something that people would probably think the same as already, which defeats that whole thrill of giving your readers something new and personal. We all know that we read books, journals, or blogs to be able to get something new or to feed any curious thought. Thus, I have learned to move forward by encroaching my writing with expl oration which is the next level of writing I learned in the course. This is the fact that I would say I enjoyed a lot learning as a writer, as I would now feel braver to insert new thoughts, parallel or not to my readers thoughts, express myself even when it sometimes seems same(p) no one will agree, and at the same time get excited with the fact that someone else is going to read something that comes from what I think. Indeed, writers need not be scared of ones audience. After all, that is why there are different genres of books because of the different depth and trail of thoughts that are perpetually welcome in writing. In the end, you would not have to blame yourself for giving your readers a lousy or totally strange read because they picked you and not feebleness versa. Realizing these, I had the guts to write not only based on the sources or principles given me to explain but moreover, explore in my writing like I would explore a new place or perhaps check out someone I am re ally interested in. Of course, though writing is really a very interesting thing to do, I would say that it also has challenges to give you as a writer. For me, one of the greatest challenges I faced in the whole course would be learning about analysis and synthesis and applying these two in my writing. This is because of the fact that both would require one to see beyond a certain topic, fact, or perhaps a thought and be able to unite it with ones thoughts even when all the while there is not a thing you truly are interested with or hold true. Aside from that, I think that another cockeyed challenge I faced would be having to write a beautiful piece that had to describe a great experience when all the while I was feeling a different mood, specifically sad and disinterested. I handled this challenge by changing the basis of everything I write from the goal of the task instead of my emotions. Although emotions play a big part in influencing the mood of ones writing, it is important to go beyond emotions and go beyond that by transcending oneself to the offer of mind a certain topic would require you to have. Also, I learned that I should divert focusing on what I see to what people see. I veered away from using myself as the center point of my writing and put myself in the shoes of those people whose thoughts I have to analyze and interpret.

Glaciation in Ohio and impacts of glaciation in Ohio Essay
Glaciation in Ohio and impacts of glaciation in Ohio - Essay ExampleThe most important impact of glaciation is the materials that have been left(p) behind by the sheets of ice. These materials includes particles of ashes, sand, gravel and rock debris. Most of the materials that had been deposited both above and under the surface of water as a result of glaciation has resulted in make-up of geographical features called eskers and kames (Peacefull, 1996). The numerous kames that are found in Portage and Summit counties are a result of deposition of glaciation materials in-between ice sheets that protruded southwards. Comparatively eskers are obsolescent in Ohio although one may encounter eskers in Portage County. Another major impact of glaciation in Ohio is the formation of the glacial lakes. The deposits of these lakes were primarily constituted of fine clay and silt particles.Changes in the drainage pattern of Ohio is also a result of glaciation which disrupted the northwest flo w of the River Teays and its tributaries which helped in the formation of Lake Tight in grey

Hayeks laissez faire and Economic Order Summary - Essay ExampleThe themes used by the writer indeed became the central ideas around which the entire book, which is bendually made up of a collection of writings was written. Four of these basic ideas are summarized below. Facts and Fallacies of Individualism The economist holds a basic idea that individuality, and for that matter social order is neither a fact nor a fallacy but that it is both a true and false. First, the economist writes to associate individualism more to be a social order whereby regardless of the fact that people are expected to practice and react in a certain individualistic manner to meet their economic needs of life, they are at the same time obliged to act according to the larger interest of society. From this perspective, the economist goes on further to give vivid reasons why individualism and for that matter, the social order could be considered to be false. The account statement given is th at in social matters, one does not adhere to fixed principles but decides each question on its merits that one is generally guided by expediency (Hayek, 1996, p. 1). Invariably, the writer is implying that no individual would be robotic to economic principles even when those principles deny him food on his table. This is what makes individualism true because people function economically according to the dictates of their conditions. On the opposite hand, there is a justification given as to why individualism and economic order could be true. With this, the economist explains that principles, arrest a way of asserting themselves even if they are not explicitly recognized but are only implied in particular decisions (Hayek, 1996, p. 1). In other words, even if a person defies the provisions of economic principles, the core values of these principles remain a fact and thus true. The use of Knowledge in baseball club In the second theme and basic knowledge explicitly outlined by the economist, he visits the availability of knowledge and the use of it thereof in redbrick society. Whiles doing this, the economist related economies to social science by making the assertion that the provisions that make social existence possible form the basis of reasoning(prenominal) economic order (Gabby, 2005). To this, the economist emphasizes the point that what society really needs to manage its rational economic order is logic. By logic, the economist talks of employ common sense presented at the individual stage of getting things dieed out for a person. A clear sense, therefore, an endorsement is made by the writer of individualism as a fact by raising the point of logic. The economist further throws light on the fact that the logic needed to make things work out for individual entities within society comes about as a result of making use of available information, and thus knowledge.

International entrepreneurship 3 Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 2750 words
International entrepreneurship 3 - Essay ExampleConsequently, the use of the term entrepreneurial opportunities begs the question on how these opportunities for investment come some and how different entrepreneurs utilize them, which serves as the basis for this paper. This is due to the ever-growing world of entrepreneurship globally and the need to understand how investments are made starting from the identification of an hazard to its exploitation. trade Dynamics Entrepreneurial Opportunities in international entrepreneurship can be analyzed on different levels with the world-class being that of availability of markets to which wholeness can overstate to in order to make more business. Then main aspect in this level involves analysis of market dynamics, a crucial factor in determining how far ones entrepreneurial skills and ventures can go. Concerning international entrepreneurship, this aspect is significant following the presence of many opportunities in the international market, and particularly following then availability of many countries that invite entrepreneurs into their countries for different purposes. With market dynamics and their analysis, they determine the success rate of a venture and the availability of the give tongue to opportunities (Kor et al 2007, p.1189). For example, having a country play host for ones entrepreneurial venture brings with it plenty of uncertainties, such that the country must in the first place have a demand for ones services or goods prior to facilitation or provision of the opportunity. Consequently, for entrepreneurial opportunities to be deemed viable or unviable there must analysis of market dynamics as this is new venture altogether in an attempt to identify the different loopholes and strengths that are quickly available. Feasibility Other factors considered in the development of entrepreneurship opportunities in international entrepreneurship include the ability to control different resources in different countries, coupled with strategic management in the said different countri

Violent Acts Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1000 words
Violent Acts - Essay Exampleact of violence and torture on the peasant women of his hacienda, and sometimes on his wife, Clara reflects the greater violence afflicted on the people by the military regime after the election. There is a kind of poetic justness that Allende seems to have maintained in the depiction of violence in her novel. Colonel Esteban Garcias raping and torturing of Alba somehow completes the circle of injustice that Albas grandfather had done on Garcias grandmother and father. In the first half of the story, Claras sister Rosa accidentally dies of poison that was meant for her father. In both the cases, Rosa and Alba suffer for no crime of theirs. They were innocent, just like the hundreds of men, women and children of Chile who were victims of violence and bloodshed in the 70s for no sin of theirs. Though Allende nowhere directly mentions the capital city in the novel to be Chile, it is quite understandable from the depiction of facts and events. Her attitude to violence and its long term consequences is explicit in the writings of Alba,The day my grandfather tumbled Pancha Garcia among the rushes of the riverbank, he added another link to the chain of events that had to complete itself. Afterward the grandson of the woman who was raped repeats the gesture with the granddaughter of the rapist, and perhaps forty years from now my grandson will smasher Garcias granddaughter down among the rushes, and so on down through the centuries in an unending tale of sorrow, blood, and love. (Allende, 432).Allendes fear of never-ending violence grapping mankind in the coming years surfaces when she addresses crime as a chain of events that will keep on growing bigger and bigger through revenge and retribution. more than revenge will lead to more violence which will ultimately bring doom to the entire mankind. So Allende looks to the future with hopes for a violence-free peaceful innovation when Alba feels like forgiving her torturer at the end.Other
